Pumpkin Patches & Pumpkin Activities
What’s fall without a trip to a pumpkin patch or a fun pumpkin event? Whether is a trip to a local farm or to the Jack O’lantern Spectacular, it’s a great way to spend time outdoors and get into the fall spirit!
- Jack O’lantern Spectacular, October 1 – November 2. While it’s not a pick your pumpkin event, while walking a winding path through the woods of Iroquois Park, you’re treated to an gallery of more than 5,000 artistically carved pumpkins in themed settings. Additional details can be found here.

- Boo at the Zoo, it’s eveyone’s favorite and runs Thursday-Sunday nights through October 27th at the Louisville Zoo, details here.

- Turner’s Halloween Festival, October 19th, details here.

- Slugger Field, October 25th and includes a costume contest and screening of Hotel Transylvania, details here.
- Many local high schools offer trick or treating for the littles such as Bullitt East and Mercy Academy’s Halloween in the Halls events. Most schools have a Facebook page with upcoming events.
