Once in a lifetime portraits for once in a lifetime moments.

Together, they weighed less than the “average baby.” But these two are far from average. 

There have been long days, longer nights, long hospital stays, surgeries. There have been teams of doctors and specialists. 

These babies are incredible. They’re fierce. They’re already funny. They’re sweet as summertime strawberries, and tough as nails. 

They’re perfectly and wonderfully made. 

I am so honored to have met this family! We had big plans for their newborn session, but when they arrived so early…those plans needed a tweak or two. No problem! When they were ready to come home from the hospital, we set the date and took our time at the studio to make sure everyone was comfy and had plenty of time for feedings and needed snuggles. We let the teeniest in the room tell us what would be happening next. (After all she’s been through, I think she’s earned it!)

This week we delivered the twins’ handmade, linen album, and momma LOVES it! It’s page after thick page of their favorite portraits. One of my favorite designs in each album includes an up-close look at their fresh, baby details. Like this:

I can’t wait to watch these two super babies grow this coming year, defy the odds, and celebrate reaching milestones. It’s going to be an adventure!
